Chemistry laboratory

The Chemistry Laboratory is a structural unit of the "BIOR" Institute, which deals with research and analysis of chemical indicators in food products, environmental samples and other objects.

Laboratory of Microbiology and Pathology

Performs bacteriological examination of clinically sick and deceased animals, birds, fish and bees, as well as determination of resistance to medications of the released bacterial microflora.

Calibration laboratory

In the calibration laboratory, it is possible to calibrate non-automatic electronic scales, glass and electronic thermometers, as well as automatic pipettes.

Fish farms

Fish farms fulfill the national fish resource reproduction program and annually release at least 2,600,000 fry of various fish species and 11,600,000 fish larvae into Latvian waters. For the needs of private fish farmers and pond owners, juveniles of rainbow trout, sturgeon, zander, tench and carp are bred.
